** We have brought back the Beretta Elite 2 Hammer and the Beretta Match Hammer in our trigger jobs in a bag for a limited time while we await our next batch of LTT Optimized Performance Hammers to arrive**

After several thousand trigger jobs on Beretta 92s and PX4s, Langdon Tactical Technology offers the "Trigger Job in a Bag." We polish and hand-stone all of the components that are part of the firing mechanism to smooth and lighten your trigger pull in DA/SA. The Trigger Job in a Bag is about 80% of what we do when we don't have the actual firearms. You can also do a full NP3 upgrade to your pistol that includes a "Trigger Job," with this kit. In August 2025, LTT switched over to a newly designed optimized performance hammer to optimize total trigger job performance in every way with improved sear notch geometry, reduced pre-travel distance, faster lock time, and better firing pin indent with lighter hammer springs. We believe this kit set-up gives you the best Trigger Job Performance and stand behind this hammer design, which has been over a year in development and manufacturing.

PLEASE NOTE:

This kit MAY require some fitting for proper install and function - please watch the install guide video on the "Videos" tab of this page prior to purchase - we recommend that this kit be installed by a competent gunsmith.

trigger in a bag - beretta 92 brigadier

Posted by M Hall on Jun 4th 2018

Extremely prompt shipping, I ordered on a Sunday, received confirmation that night, and had the box by Thursday. Installation was simple (plenty of videos showing how to strip the pistol). Made a HUGE positive improvement on both double and single action. I am very pleased with the upgrade.

    Excellent Product

Posted by Mark H. on May 26th 2018

I just installed this kit in my 92A1 which I'm in the process of customizing. I'm a competitive shooter with some force-on-force training as well. The single action is superb; extremely clean and crisp. The double action is excellent as well. I decided to use a 16lb D-Spring; I expect the DA would be God-like if I had used the 12-14lb hammer spring Langdon recommends. Trigger reset was reduced as well. While I am NOT a gunsmithing expert, as a mechanical engineer looking at the mechanism I hypothesis that if the part that pushes-up the firing pin block were modified, trigger reset could be further reduced. Perhaps further upgrades will be available in the future. Then again, reset seems to be shorter with the slide removed so my hypothesis could be wrong. Once the kit was installed, the trigger was so smooth the roughness of my stock polymer-coated trigger became noticeable. I temporarily swapped it for the steel trigger from my M9A3 and that smoothed it out perfectly. Thus, I've ordered a WC steel trigger for my 92A1. Overall an excellent product. Installation is super-easy. The quality of the product is readily apparent and unmistakable. I was shocked at how smooth the contact surfaces were. Purchasing and shipping was quick and easy. Pice is reasonable for what you get. Would buy again.

Installation was easy. Even though I already had the short reach trigger installed, this went in and and functioned perfectly. I couldn’t be happier.

    92 trigger in a bag

Posted by John D on May 23rd 2018

Great service ordered on Wednesday had it on Friday. Watched several you tube videos about complete disassembly of my 92 FS. And 45 minutes later I had the new trigger in a bag completed. Took it out for testing and was totally amazed. What a difference like night and day difference. Well worth the money. Can't wait to see my wife shoot, she's going to love that smooth trigger pull now!

    M9A3 install

Posted by Scott on May 22nd 2018

Installed this on a M9A3 and it improved the trigger in every way. Install was simple and required no modifications. I installed with #12 spring and the beretta elite hammer. Only 1 range trip so far with about 150 rounds of mixed ammo with zero issues.

    Pretty good kit

Posted by Brian on May 21st 2018

Extemely fast shipping--I ordered this on a Monday and received it the same week on a Thursday night. The kit itself is pretty self explanatory, comes with a nice skeletonized Beretta elite II hammer, lightly polished sear, and main spring; as well as a Wilson combat trigger bar and a few springs. Installation was pretty easy, as the YouTube video Ernest Langdon had up made it simple to follow. It took about two hours the first time around just documenting everything and a detailed cleaning on my old m9a1, but I'm sure it would take 30 minutes on a new gun now that I know what I'm doing. I highly recommend a small pin punch ($10 sets on Amazon) to help with taking it apart and putting it back together again. The trickiest part about reassembly was getting the spring back over the trigger bar, but even that wasn't too bad. Overall, a great kit. Coming from just a d-spring, the double action is nice and light, I'd say around 6-7 lbs and the single action is a crisp 3.5-4lbs if I had to guess. It is a VERY noticeable difference. The trigger reset still feels the same, however. The price is a little steep but worth it. 10/10 would buy again.

    Saved a 92A1

Posted by Charles Noe on May 20th 2018

I am very familiar with Mr. Langdon's action work on Berettas. He did several for both myself and my wife about 18-20 years ago. I bought this product because I had made the mistake of sending a 92A1 to Wilson Combat and had nothing but trouble with it after they were finished. I had light primer strikes from the get go and, after sending it back 4 times for various issues, at about 1500 rounds the light primer strikes got worse and then the hammer started to follow 2 to 3 times per magazine. Because I had no confidence in Wilson's ability to correct the issue, I ordered the Trigger Job in a Bag from Langdon Tactical. Shipping was super fast and I received the product within a couple of days. The sear, sear spring and sear pin installation was a little tricky, but not too much so and I had it installed the day I received it. I am very happy to report that my 92A1 no longer has issues with light primer strikes or the hammer following. The icing on the cake is the Trigger Job in a Bag gave me a far superior action than the Wilson Combat work did. If you are looking for a great improvement in the action on a Beretta 92, look no further than Langdon Tactical's Trigger Job in a Bag. Highly recommended!!
