92 Elite LTT w/LTT Trigger Job
I took possession on Tuesday and headed to the range on Thursday. Simply put, this pistol is a true weapon. I had never shot a Beretta before and in fact hadn't shot a semi-automatic pistol since I was in Viet Nam where I had a very good Colt 1911 .45ACP. I was an Expert pistol shot but nearly 50 years and in spite of a lot of physical mileage later I was able to shoot this pistol at a very high level almost from the get go. Fifty or so rounds and I was shooting some pretty tight groups. At 100+ rounds I was done for the day so I put up a fresh silhouette at 6-7 yards and fired 7 rounds in succession in rapid target acquisition. Unfortunately this is New York State and I believe that you should practice with what you will be using in a real situation and 7 rounds is the law here. I had a 3.5" group with several dead center hits. Absolutely a great gun to shoot. I have smaller hands and the thinner grips were quite comfortable. The milled out trigger guard permitted my middle finger a comfortable place to grip. The sights are excellent. It is very easy to acquire a target in rapid firing. And the trigger pull? Phenomenal in both DA and SA. I had no difficulty with the 6# or so DA trigger and the sub 4# SA was a dream. The trigger mechanism is smooth in both modes. Even though there is obviously a difference between them I wasn't particularly aware of it when I fired DA then SA in rapid target acquisition even though I did change my pull technique. in the two modes. I acquired the target and fired. The difference in trigger pulls didn't seem to affect me. I let the salesman dry fire it at the authorized Beretta dealer gun shop where I had the pistol sent . All he said was "Holy ........"(expletive deleted). The Elite LTT is a really well done pistol. I couldn't be more pleased.
